| In 1911 an English company, the English Fashion Waterproof, decided to open in Italy, in Milan, the first trench coat factory. Director of the fabric became Sai Vita, born in China, with Milanese origins. He had been a great traveller and was fluent in English, but most of all ha had a great sense of elegance and quality. He immediately introduced his philosophy into the company, manufacturing only the best, choosing from the finest textiles. Few years later the English element left, but the company adopting the name Valstar, continued to manufacture and prosper under the guidance of Sai Vita.
After 90 years of business, three generations of the Vita family have followed in one another’s footsteps marking an important chapter in the history of Italian menswear. Valstar’s design and quality has evolved over the years, often ahead of its time and as such copied by others.

The company began its activity with a trench coat; soon afterward it had already launched other cloaks and outerwear, sports and leather jackets. Speaking of jackets, Valstar’s blouson, main protagonist of the company success, has been one the best seller since 1935.
At the beginning of the new millennium Valstar started a new era: after three generations, the company passed to Mr Luigi Bianchi. This new situation and evolution process finds its accomplishment with Stefano Massa nomination as Valstar’s CEO. His first purpose has been the collection renewal, always carry on the values of quality, customer care and tailoring. |
